History

The chemical engineering factory “Chemotechnische Fabrik A.I. Schulze e.K.” was set up in 1952 by Henning Schulze and was able to expand rapidly in close collaboration with its key account Siemens AG Energy and quickly earned a reputation as an efficient and reliable company.

Today the regular customers of the Chemotechnische Fabrik A.I. Schulze e.K. include well-known power plant operators like Alstom, EON, ENBW, Preußen Elektra, RWE Rheinbraun as well as all the municipal utilities in Germany.

The cooperation formed in 1988 between the sole manufacturer, A.I. Schulze Chemotechnische Fabrik e.K., and the sales and logistics agency, D. Bartowiak Vertriebs- und Logistikzentrum, enabled the creation of a network of General Agencies and thereby the successful worldwide establishment of the product BIRKOSIT Dichtungskitt®.

The two companies have been affiliated since 2008 and coordinate their corporate operations at joint headquarters.

“We are proud to say that we satisfy the requirements of our customers and even exceed some of their expectations. In the course of its historical development the company has become a market leader and has carved out a niche position as a supplier to the energy industry”.

Today the Chemotechnische Fabrik A.I. Schulze e.K. is the main supplier to Siemens AG Energy Sector. The company has remained true to its roots as a purely family-run enterprise and has continued in this tradition since the death of its founder Henning Schulze in 1974. Ilse Schulze was on the management board until 2002 when she handed over the reins within the family to Dieter Bartkowiak (company proprietor). The company philosophy has stretched to accommodate the changing requirements and the growing market while the company’s claim to top quality has been constant throughout.
